Services For Adults
Chronic Disease Clinics
Our ongoing diabetes and coronary heart disease clinics are led by our practice nurses with an identified doctor providing back up when needed. If you have been diagnosed with one of these conditions you will be invited by letter for an annual check. If you have not received an invitation and would like a check-up please call and make an appointment.
Family Planning
Most of our family planning is heard by our nurse team but the clinical lead within the practice is Dr Nina Burroughs. If you wish to discuss any aspect of family planning and contraception please make an appointment with Dr Nina Burroughs.
Weight Loss Healthy Eating
We offer a successful weight loss and healthy eatingĀ advise service through our Health Care assistant. If you would like to access this service please call for an appointment.
Community Dermatology Clinic
We offer a community dermatology service to all Furness residents. This is led by Dr John C Young and is accessed by GP referral only.
Flu Immunisations
If you are eligible for a flu immunisation you will be sent an invitation, usually around early October, depending on vaccine supply. The clinics usually run through October, if you have not received your invite by mid October please contact the surgery.
Travel Advice and Vaccinations
If you are planning a holiday please complete one of our travel vaccination forms available at the reception. The nurse will then contact you to arrange an appointment. This service is free of charge other than for malaria, yellow fever, cholera and rabies and other more unusual vaccines if needed.
