Repeat Prescriptions

Items should be ordered from reception before your medication runs out. Please  give at least 48 hours notice, prescriptions will be ready for collection on the due day after 3.00pm. Please note that emergency prescriptions can NOT be ordered via the website.

If you want your prescription posted to you, please provide us with a stamped addressed envelope. NB Weekends and Bank Holidays do not count as part of the 48 hours.

We will need to review your prescription from time to time, so please make an appointment when you receive notification that your review is due.

To order a prescription you may come in, write to us, send a fax or use this website for collection later. We do not accept telephone requests.

Please Note that most local pharmacies offer a collection and delivery service. Please contact your specific pharmacy for more information; their numbers are available under useful contacts.

Requests must be received during regular working hours and will be ready for collection on the day stated AFTER 3.00pm

Prescriptions Charges and Exemptions

Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs).

The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines.  Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
